Density is another drawing element that adds depth to a drawing
In the above example, the fence is darker and more defined in the foreground. Notice how it fades away in the distance. The clarity is lost as recedes in the distance.
Use density to make your images appear further and closer to the viewer. Draw the objects lighter and less defined as they recede in the distance.
To make objects appear closer draw them in darker with lots of detail.
